The incident happened on the Terminal B Lower Roadway around 5 p.m. on Monday, March 27, Massachusetts State Police Spokesperson Dave Procopio reports.

Initial investigation revealed that the man, who was later identified as Vishwachand Kolla, was picking up a friend when he was hit by the middle of the bus while standing outside his vehicle.

The bus, which is owned by Dartmouth Transportation Company in Concord, NH, then dragged Kolla along the driver's side of his Acura SUV, Procopio said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bus driver, a 54-year-old woman, refused medical treatment. She was also interviewed by State Troopers who processed and documented the scene and inspected the motor coach.

So far, no charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
